Are you ready to take the plunge for a worthy cause? Join us in fundraising for CanalAbility at the Harlow Tye Rotary Club’s 24th Charity Abseil and help make a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
On Saturday 20th May 2023, you could be scaling the 160ft Harlow Water Tower and abseil down from the top!
CanalAbility is an award-winning charity dedicated to providing the facilities for people with a wide range of disabilities, health conditions or anyone experiencing disadvantages, to enjoy boating on the river on our specially adapted canal boats. Our boats are designed to accommodate people with various disabilities, including those with physical, sensory, and learning impairments, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the beauty of the canals and rivers.
As a charitable organisation, we do not receive any Government funding. One of the ways we raise funds to support our mission is through charity events, such as abseils, where individuals can participate and fundraise on our behalf. These events not only help us raise much-needed funds, but they also raise awareness about our cause and the importance of accessibility and inclusivity. We are grateful for the support of our generous donors and participants who help us continue our mission of providing accessible adventures on the water.
The impact of our canal boat experience goes beyond the immediate experience. Many of our clients share how their time on our boats has had a profound effect on their lives. It offers them the opportunity to connect with nature, enjoy quality time with loved ones, and create cherished memories. The sense of freedom, independence, and joy that our guests experience is truly heartwarming and fuels our passion to continue making a difference.
But we couldn’t do it alone. CanalAbility relies on the support of our community, volunteers, donors, and partners to continue our work. There are several ways you can get involved and support our cause. You can participate in our charity events, volunteer your time and skills, or make a donation to help us maintain and improve our boats and facilities. Every contribution, big or small, makes a significant impact and helps us provide accessible adventures to more individuals with disabilities.
By taking part in this challenging fundraising event you can help raise much-needed funds for CanalAbility, allowing us to continue to provide unforgettable experiences.
