Latest Update: Fundraising for Our New Accessible Electric Canal Boat

We are actively raising funds to add a new accessible electric canal boat to our current fleet of two accessible canal boats. This is just the beginning of an amazing journey towards a more sustainable and impactful future for our charity and the communities we serve!

We cannot achieve this goal without the support of our wonderful community. We invite you to join us in this fundraising effort, whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading the word. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to making this dream a reality. Together, we can make our waterways more inclusive and accessible for everyone to enjoy. Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm for this important project. Stay tuned for more updates as we progress towards our goal!

On the 29th of June, CanalAbility hosted a Barn Dance at the Loughton Club to support our fundraising efforts. The event was a sellout, with 100 tickets sold, and attendees had a fantastic time dancing the night away to the lively tunes of the St. George Barn Dance Band. Yeehaw! The evening raised over £2,000, including £400 from a raffle featuring fabulous prizes generously donated by local businesses.

CanalAbility Fundraising Quiz

We’d like to thank everyone who attended our fundraising quiz and so generously helped us raise a further £580. A good time was had by all, even if some of the questions were a bit tricky – they were all easy if you knew the answers! Anyway, hopefully you’ll come again next year.
