We can’t welcome you to our adapted canal boat experiences at the moment so we thought we would compile some virtual tours to help you enjoy the beauty of our local canals from the comfort of your sofa.

Our specially adapted canal boats give you the chance to explore the beautiful and protected Essex and Hertfordshire countryside along the river. We offer day long, weekend and mid-week breaks, as well as longer holidays where you can even take a journey into London. Now, without opening your front door, you can take yourself on a virtual tour of the canals with our selection of videos showing the beauty of our waterways.

Here’s our very own adapted broad beam canal boat Red Watch from above (not a narrowboat as suggested on the video) from Moira O’Brien.

Join PARC Essex as they experience a day on the river with CanalAbility.

Discover the unspoilt navigable waters of the River Stort on the Hertfordshire and Essex borders by boat with the Boating Photographer.

Discover the Lee Navigation from Feilde’s Weir to Cheshunt on this Narrowboat Timelapse with eightpot42.

Take a virtual walk along the River Stort, including Broxbourne, Harlow and Bishop’s Stortford with John Rogers.

With Google Street View, you can set sail down London’s River Thames, the perfect vantage point for some of the city’s most scenic and iconic views of London. Virtual tours of the River Thames are now available through the Google Maps service who have provided 360-degree views of a 30 mile stretch of the waterway .
