Eloise was introduced to CanalAbility on a day trip with her trampolining club. After spotting an advertisement in her local CM17 magazine seeking volunteers, and being aware of the valuable work we do, she was eager to join.
Excited to begin the training process, Eloise will be undergoing our free, accredited training, which is available to all of our volunteers*. As an accredited training centre and a member of the National Community Boats Association (NCBA), our canal boat training courses lead to nationally recognised qualifications.
Throughout the training, Eloise will gain the skills to operate the boats and ensure that our clients have an enjoyable experience. She expressed her enthusiasm for learning new skills and trying something new, citing her love for driving boats and enjoying the great outdoors.
“I enjoy the freedom of driving a boat, being out in the fresh air and enjoying the natural surroundings.”
In addition to her involvement with CanalAbility, Eloise holds a day job as well as pursuing training as a Reiki healer and also volunteers at a local allotment project that aims to feed people and foster a sense of community. Always seeking to expand her qualifications, she is eager for new opportunities.
